I have tried my hand at blogging many, many times. After working in public relations for a little more than a year, I realized how to make this a sustainable and long-term endeavor.
First, I am going to stick to a reasonable publication schedule. I'm committing to every Sunday.
Second, the general subject of this blog will be more varied than my other blog attempts. This blog will talk about academia, graduate school, knitting, altac (alternate academic) careers, online education, the MFA, my PhD, and whatever else appeals to my jack-of-all-trades nature.
Third, I plan on most posts being between 700 and 1,000 words in length.
Lastly, I will work on creating a decent buffer so I can maintain the weekly publication schedule.
I am easily bored, meaning I am a jack of all trades, master of none. A blog about my altac life, knitting, and adventures. I earned a doctorate in literature and with a failed attempt at the academic job market under my belt, I decided to follow my dream and earned an MFA in creative writing. Online. From my former employer. This blog will often zig when you expect it to zag - back in the saddle after a long hiatus!
